Stripling Warriors

We went to Bountiful Utah to visit our grandkids and they had been invited to participate in the Pioneer Day parade. I can't remember his name, but a man that lived there had been trying for years to put together an reenactment of the 2000 Stripling Warriors. He finally succeeded. He portrays Helaman and he actually had over 2000 young men along with their (father) Captains marching and chanting. It covered 4 football fields in length. They marched twenty abreast with their staffs. It was absolutely amazing. Helaman was all "decked" out in full uniform. It was a sight to see. There have several postings on UTube as well.

Update before vacation

I am going to be gone for a couple of weeks, so I will not be able to do updates on the building. I will be doing updates on some of my travels.
Now, on to the building. We have DOORS!
 Brick is going up................................
It's really happening. the builder is saying that work is progressing and everything is according to the time schedule.

The parking lot is really coming together also. President Campbell is so glad that it is not asphalt. It looks like high quality and very well enforced concrete.
Now what is really exciting.......SHEETROCK....WOW, now this really makes it look real. The rooms are coming together and they look larger now.

Anyway, it is very exciting and we are anxiously awaiting the finished product.  Only about 75 more days.....
More updates when I get back.......until then...................................

Fourth oh July 2012

We had a wonderful time this morning when we journeyed to Portland to share
in the celebration of the 4th of July with our church family. We had yummy pancakes, sausage, fruit and
drinks. Bob Bailey brought his cannon and to the kids delight, he shot it more than once.
So, tradition continued....................
and fun was had by all.

No steel toed boots!

Okay, I didn't have to get the boots or the hat. So, here are some inside pictures. Last week others were taken on the inside and there was SO MUCH stuff in there, it made it look SO SMALL. (I think I'll stick to the outside.) Now a few days later , it looks a lot better, so here ya go.....

I know that there are going to be a lot of rooms and most of the pictures are kind of looking down the hall, so.......get your imagination going and see what is going on.

Still not a lot going on the outside except that with the rain and sun and heat, the paper is changing colors a little bit. Still waiting on the windows....
